Last Call for Basel Open Masters 2018 (now 30 nations!)

Already 30 nations from all 5 continents have registered for the Basel Open Masters 2018. We are happy about the many top athletes who use our event to prepare for the following Olympic qualifications. But we are also happy about the participation of the 125 dojos from all over the world, which honour the Basel Open Masters. We are looking forward to the masters competitions of the male sitting athletes Rafael Aghayev, Arkania Gogita, Yahiro Tsuneari or Aykhan Mamayev. Or the fight for the women’s prize money between Emilie Thouy, Iryna Zaretska, Ilaha Gasimova or Viktoria PIllarova. So we are already preparing for the high-level competitions in Basel on September 1 and 2, 2018.

Interested dojos can still register. We open the registration window until Wednesday, 29.08.2018. The registration is possible via Sportdata. On September 1st 2018 the competitions of juniors and seniors will take place. In the morning in Kata and in the afternoon in Kumite. As a highlight, the Masters categories will take place from around 5 p.m. in the ladies’ and men’s categories, where the best of the best will compete against each other. On September 2, 2018 the competitions of the children and youth will take place (also here: morning Kata and in the afternoon Kumite). The orientation takes place in the sports hall Pfaffenholz in Basel.

After the Basel Open Masters 2018 the national team of Azerbaijan around Rafael Aghayev, Shahin Atamov, Aykhan Mamayev, Iryna Zaretska or Ilaha Gasimova will prepare for the K1 in Berlin from September 3 to 11, 2018. This training camp is also open to other national teams and K1 competitors.
