Two days of karate in Basel are now over. Many thanks for participating in the Basel Open Masters 2018.

With more than 830 entries and 30 nations, we once again celebrated a new record number of participants for the Basel Open Masters. We saw many attractive fights from K1 fighters and members of national teams. We were especially happy about the participating super Karatekas (see also: https://www.sportdata.org/karate/ausschreibungen/3423/welcome%20to%20basel%20open%20masters.pdf).

Winner of Basel Open Masters 2018 are the following athletes:
– Female: Leïla Heurtault Leïla (France)
– Male: Gokhan Gunduz (Turkey)

Congratulations, these two winners will be accepted into the Basel Open Masters gallery with immediate effect.

We have uploaded lists of results and evaluations to Sportdata, which are available for you. We will also provide a report on the Basel Open Masters 2018, soon. A big thank you also to the many helpers who support and make this event possible – especially to our friends Dojos Shorin Ryu Karate Do Kloten (Dojo 18) and Winti Winterthur.

Thank you for your participation. We will again hold a Basel Open Masters 2019. We are already looking forward to your interest and promise international fights at the highest level. We look forward to seeing you all again.
